Firefox 3 and del.icio.us

Another of my favorite Firefox plugins, the del.icio.us plugin, is now available for Firefox 3.

Works great.

Firebug and Firefox 3 Beta 5 on Kubuntu Hardy Heron

After a long day of working in the yard, I sat down at my computer after the kids had gone to bed and decided that rather than falling asleep with my finger on the Z key while coding (which somehow leads to buggy code), I'd be better off doing something less involved. I opted to upgrade my Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon install to the newest Kubuntu Hardy Heron release.

Find out how much you (or others) have contributed to Drupal

Sometimes you want to meausre how much you've contributed to Drupal.

Sometimes you want to measure someone else - perhaps you're considering hiring this person.

Try the following Google search (where "username" is the person's Drupal.org username):

site:cvs.drupal.org username

That's it. Not scientific or anything, but it'll let you get a handle on how often a person's username appears on http://cvs.drupal.org.

Here's me for instance.

Usability improvement applied toward Drupal 7

Just had my first patch towards Drupal 7 committed. It was as simple usability fix that involved nothing more than the deletion of 3 lines of CSS from Garland, but still, it's exciting.

Use case found for querying multiple databases

Today I finally found a use case for querying multiple databases.

Within 1/2 hour of each other I had two different individuals affiliated with a Drupal site tell me that pages which were there yesterday weren't today. Investigation into the site didn't turn up anything but broken links.

I wanted to know how wide-spread the issue was. I mean, were the pages dropping like flies?

Drupalcon Boston 2008 sessions I attended

I've posted previously on attending Drupalcon Boston Day One, and included some notes. Most of my notes come close to being transcriptions of the presentations, so I thought it would be better to link directly to the session pages, rather than post the rest of my notes, to complete the cycle:

Day One

PS: I'll have more session notes - maybe just links to the sessions I attended, posted before long.
